Robert Coventry, CPP has over twenty-five years experience in the security, detention, protection and investigations field and is the Chief Operations Officer of Starside. He is Board Certified in Security Management and is a Certified Protection Professional, (CPP) with the American Society for Industrial Security International.  He is a licensed Private Investigator in Arizona (pending renewal), California, Florida and Texas. Holds a Private Patrol Operator (Security) License in Arizona, California, Florida, New Mexico, Oregon, Texas and Wyoming and is a Private Investigator Security Manager in Florida. Mr. Coventry is on the advisory boards for California State University, Fullerton’s Private Investigation and Security Program, Grossmont College Adult Corrections Academy and California Career School.  Mr. Coventry is responsible for the operations of Starside’s divisions which includes working with various government agencies.  He has also been contracted by numerous companies experiencing labor disputes (work stoppage / strikes) to provide consulting services as well as off-duty police officers and armed/unarmed security officers during the efforts to resolve disputes. He is a court qualified (federal, state and local) expert witness in use of force, security guard management and security operations. Mr. Coventry began his career in protection in the United States Army where he was a sniper squad leader for the 101st Airborne Division. Recognized for his expertise he was part of the security team for then President Regan’s visit to Fort Campbell, Kentucky and while in Panama he was selected as part of the protection team for the Pope John Paul II’s visit.  While in the Army he received certifications from numerous schools to include Sniper School, Air Assault School, Forward Observer School and Nuclear Biological Chemical (NBC) School.  He was deployed to Honduras, 29 Palms (Gallant Eagle 86) and provided border protection at the US Mexico border.  While in the United States  Army he held a Top Secret security clearance. Mr. Coventry is a member of the following professional associations: American Society for Industrial Security, International – California Association of Licensed Investigators – Florida Association of Licensed Investigators — California Robbery Investigators Association, Florida Association of Licensed Investigators and National Council of Investigative and Security Services and Texas Association of License Investigators.
